Celebrating Philanthropy Day with the Qulliams
Each year, one of our highlights here at Kids Kottage is National Philanthropy Day. It’s an opportunity for us to honour one of the many supporters who work so hard and give so much to help us keep vulnerable Edmonton-area children safe and help us prevent their families from falling into crisis.
This year, on November 15, it was an incredible honour to recognize the contributions of the amazing Quilliam family! The Quilliams have been involved with Kids Kottage since 2003 and are a huge financial supporter, underwriting our Basic Shelf program, which helps families dealing with food insecurity by teaching them basic cooking skills , budgeting, and maintaining a basic shelf of ingredients. A member of the Quilliam family has also installed air conditioning and renovated our playroom and laundry room, which are probably the most important rooms in the Kottage!
It was an amazing evening, and always an honour to join all the other non-profits in recognizing the generous people in our community who come together to help us do the important work we do every day.
Thank you to the Quilliams, and to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Edmonton & Area Chapter for hosting such a fabulous event!
