Who We Help
At Kids Kottage, we help any caregiver who needs support in keeping their children safe. It’s simple – if you need support, we are here for you.
Many of our clients come to us facing issues stemming from poverty, including food insecurity, homelessness, or even a broken furnace in the middle of winter. Some of our clients are in need of treatment for mental or physical health conditions and need to make sure their children are safe, so they can take care of themselves. Some of our clients are expecting a new baby and have no one to watch their other children while they’re in the hospital.
One thing most of our clients have in common is the lack of natural supports. For whatever reason, the caregivers or parents who come to us don’t have the network of friends or family they can rely on to help. And that’s why we’re here – both to help out when things get tough, but also to help them develop a community network of referrals to help out in the future.
Each year, we help caregivers from every shape and size of family, every ethnicity, every age, from every area of the city and the surrounding areas.
